Emergency !Help Windows 98 problem!!!

I have this computer running Win 98.
It show the blue screen that says:

"Fatal Exception error OE
0028:C0032AEA in
VXD IOS (01)
00001446 "

Also problems in shutting down....
Please help Emergency... Mods and everyone, HELP !

I just noticed the error is (01) not (04). Although that applies to Win 95, if the Win98 is an upgrade from 95 it could still apply, but it should be one of those two issues.

I am very grateful...
Will try all of the methods!

Please also help as now the Windows 98
will not shut down,just hangs there
until I manually click off by power button.
It used to shut off from the Start menu...
What gives,please help me ...

I guess my next question would be why are you still using Windows 98? It hasn't been supported for at least 4 years. VXD errors are typically associated with driver problems associated with hardware devices. Most likely my best guess would be you've installed a hardware device that Win 98 has no clue what to do with. My best advice is save up about $500 bucks or so and buy a current computer.

I second that. It is a good idea as Windows XP still is supported by Microsoft. I don't know about the future of it though as VISTA came out... Still a good idea to upgrade
