Greetings
I do already have one exchange server 2010 on my domain, and I would like to
build another server that will be hosting a copy of the DB so should in case something goes wrong,
I will be having redundancy available.
my worries is
1-having 2 exchnage server on the same domain, is there any troubles with that?
2- this is different from High availability
-3- I just want to have 2 exchange server that will replicate all the time
Is there any like with the guide lines on how to implement this?
I will apprecaite your help

Grinch
within the link you sent me, it is recommending that I use Server 2008 R2 Enterprise operating system on both mail servers
What I do have is Windows 2008 R2 standard edition
will it work or I must use Server 2008 R2 Enterprise operating system?
Thanks

Please can you explain to me how this will work
I have been doing some reading.

this is what some one says

Since DAGs rely on Windows failover clustering, they can only be created on Exchange 2010 Mailbox servers running the Windows Server 2008 Enterprise operating system or Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise operating system.

what would yo advice?

I guess it doesn't work in standard. Failover clustering isn't available in standard version.
