Hi,
I have a Tosh laptop with preloaded XP pro. The disk has only one drive c:. I would like to create a extended partition with a logical drive. As i have the OS preloaded i would like to create the extended drive with out formating the disk (i think formatting will erase the OS and can not be loaded even with the recovery disk) without any third party software.

Is there any way to do it?
Thanks,
Arun

Since you have loaded windows already, you'll have to use a 3rd party
app like Partition Magic. You will have to use a 3rd party app, because you
can't adjust partition sizes or create new drives without disk unsued
space available.

If you had the OS loaded onto a partition that has smaller than the HD
size, you could have done it right from Windows Disk Managment.
