Hi guys,

I'm running windows 2000 on a machine, that I'd like to run as a webserver. How can that be done; do I need to install anything, or is there something to use on win2000 already?

Thanks for reading,
The_torst.

If it's not already installed, you'll need to install IIS on your computer:

If it is installed, type http://localhost/localstart.asp into your browser for instructions on how to use it.

Personally I would use apache, but you need to choose carefully what you want to run.

a.) Tomcat & Apache 2 (Jsp server pages)
b.) Php & Apache
c.) Perl/CGI & Apache
d.) Just plain old html and maybe some Javascript

That is only the tip of the iceberg as well.
Look around http://www.apache.org/ and see what you want. You might also want to check out http://www.perl.com and http://www.php.net.

Good luck. 8)
