Files to back up, & program to tell u what programs u ha

Are there certian files to back up when u are about to format? My computer has gone on the fritz and i want to know what to back up. Actually i won't have to backup if someone can answer y the error comes up saying. the admin. has disabled this function. when i am under the admin user name?. i am getting the persional files. is there anything else. i no i can just reset the background. redownload aim. and the google toolbar.



2nd question? Is there a thing that will tell u what is on the computer program wise.(see question above for reason why i want one)

1. Sounds to me like you are on a Windows network and your network admin has disallowed certain options. It overrides your workstation authority.

and can that belarc print a list of what is on the computer?

Make sure Admin is not a member of the users group. It will inherit any restrictions you've placed on general users. Admin should only be a member of Administrators group.
