I had a Hard drive that had a corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file. I found the system recovery console fix but it would not allow me to execute any commands properly in system recovery console so i could not copy it over from another location. Every time i tried a command it said file path not found, and it even failked giving me a dir of the C:\ drive When I took that hard drive and put it in a external enclosure and clicked open in my computer, it said the the hard drive was inaccessible or something like that. I gave up. The next morning when i tried to click on it, it said it was not formated do you want to format? I don't because i need to get some files off it before i reinstall XP. It now says in disk manager the the file system is RAW and there are 120gb free (which is the entire drive because i have a 120 GB HDD) Does anyone know what might be happening? Any help would be appreciated
