Help needed with backup

Hi There

i've had a complete backup of my hard drive. The old files (word-doc)are on the harddisk, but when trying to open, them there is nothing in it.

What's the problem and who can help?

Do you mean there is nothing on the hard drive you used to do the backup? Pleae give me a bit more info on the whole proces you did. Thanks!

well, at once when working on the computer i had no user interface anymore. i shut down the computer and went to a computerstore to do the backup. they took a copy of the hard disk, formatted the hard disk , installed windows Xp and placed the previous content in a map. When it returned home, i copied some files on CD. These files i can read, but the same file on the harddisk i can't. The porblem is that is didn't take a copy of all the files. Now i want to use some, i encounter this problem
