yeh could be that, but ive deleted all traces of the program i could find, its not really hurting anythin its just reall annoying and i wanna get rid of it, coz on flash sites i click a button and the browser reads it as a broken link or something and diverts to 'Fassia'. (oh yeah forgot to say, it onlygoes to this 'Fassia' site when the link is broken, page doesnt exist, or as mentioned in flash sites.)

Try using Mozilla (i prefer plain Firebird) - no problems in future...

Spybot is pretty effective at getting rid of stuff like that if you're infected.

Lavasoft's Adaware will also do the trick

now, if it is a popup coming to you as a error message, you are going to have to disable messenger service in regedit....

sp2 will apparently already fix this

There's quite a few of these hijackers about...at least this one only kicks in when you have site not found situation. Running Spybot -Search and Destroy will get rid of it - you can get it at http://www.download.com. Incidentally, I've found the Google toolbar is great for eliminating pop-ups generally.
