I just had the same problem on a client's computer. I couldn't even run Hijack This. It would download but wouldn't run. Try to download and run malwarebytes' anti malware or try a restore point. If that doesn't work, you'll have to reinstall. I'm sure that you already had all your data backed up on another drive.
