Help with XP

everytime i log on i get 3 pop ups saying "Window cannot find 'c:\windows\system32\imagemgt32.exe' and cannot load or run 'c:\windows\system32\imagemgt32.exe' specified in the registry, make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry. and other pop up winodw says data1.dat was not found. i want to know what are these files and how do I keep them from not poping up, Thanks

you either have a trojan horse or have recently removed a trojan horse. this file is listed on symantec antivirus research website (SARC) see the following link for reference on removal or inocculation directions.

also you might be able to go into you run and type msconfig into the "open" box and go to the startup tab, locate the c:\windows\system32\imagemgt32.exe entry and un check it. but mostly you should get a good virus scanner. i use AVG free edition and it works great!
