Hijack this log - Internet Explorer opens, then closes

Been working on a friends computer, and have cleaned up a bunch of junk, but Internet Explorer 7 still won't stay open. Here's the Hijack this log from the machine. Any suggestions?

That's the only questionable thing I see. Download, update & run anti malware from malwarebytes.org

if your internet explore is not working and creating a problem .

try to reset the internet explorer as tools>internet options>advanced> reset .click OK and close the internet explorer and again try to start the internet explorer.

you can also download the Firefox from the internet .
Firefox is a good web browser and has so many extra features.

Don2007: thanks, I'll remove that one, and give malwarebytes a look.

lindsay: I'd try to reset IE, but I can't get to stay open long enough to get to the tools menu. Any way to reset it from the command line?

I'm well aware of Firefox (chrome, Opera and others) - I've tried to "convert" friend to using anything but IE, but they're stubborn, and prefer IE.

This has also happen to one of our office PC and our IT Guru is only force to reinstall the OS to make it work again. A rollback doesn't work with the problem.

You can try the reset Lindsay described by using Internet Options in the Control Panel. It's the same thing but doesn't require opening IE

I tried to use that method, Internet Options from control Panel wouldn't launch either.

Update to IE8?
