Cam someone please tell me what the hell this spyware is cos all of a sudden it became my homepage and I have no way of getting rid of it.
I have run Spybot many times and it hasn't helped.
I've tried changing my homepage back to my old one on a regular basis and rebooting but this stupid search engine keeps coming up as my homepage.
I want it gone!! HELPPPPP Please!!

The link to what I have now is this http://www.hotsearchbar.com/
Love always,
Bee xxx

Do you have the Hotbar Toolbar in your browser? Scroll down on this page and see if it looks something like the hotbar toolbar shown there:
http://webct.ipfw.edu/searchbars.html

If so, try these removal instructions:
http://www.pchell.com/support/hotbar.shtml

On the outside chance that doesn't work, or that's not it, download and run CWShreader:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html

It removes a variety of browser hijackers more effectively than some of the other standard removal tools such as spybot.

What you have is a browser hijacker. I'm pretty sure it's the first one I indicated.

I dont know if this app has been reviewed here, but i think it's quiet excellent.

Its called Toolbar Cop.

It can show all the BHO and stuff...including path, registry key, and helps you remove it directly.

I'm still discovering other options.

Thanks very much for the links guys. So far the top link seems to have worked. I just hope it doesn't come back.
Thanks to you both!
