It is simple, you should install fonts in your windows and will be added automatically in all programs that you have installed on your computer.

:?

I have the same question. (How to add fonts to Photoshop and Fireworks.)

Perhaps I misunderstood the answer, but I tried downloading the font, and opening the file on my desktop (in Windows), as suggested, and the font has not automatically appeared in Photoshop nor in Fireworks. What do I do?

Did you mean to say that I should open the font file in MSWord? (If so, that is not an option for me. I don't have Word. I have Open Office for Windows.)

Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sarah

P.S.

oops. Forgot to mention some possibly critical info about my question. The font file is a 'TTF'. and that's Fireworks MX 2004.

Thanks again,

Sarah

Simply opening the font does not install it. The way that I install fonts it by copying and pasting the font file into the fonts folder, which is found in the Control Panel. However, I think you can download programs to intall fonts. I've never looked into it.

I think in windows xp fonts are installed by just opening them, or mine are anyway, if not just do what captain-nick said.

Hmmm...I'm on XP, and wherever I open a font, it just does the same as it would while it's installed. It's displays the example.

You drag and drop the font to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts - It should then install.

It worked...

(in control panel, open 'Fonts' and drag and drop the font file into the list of fonts and it automatically installs!)

So easy!

Thanks for the help!
