I have purchased an eBook. But the authors are using unreasonable protection. It will not work on any other computer. There is no option to print it. So when I change my computer I will have wasted my money in buying the ebook.

I need to be able to study the ebook at my leisure and also in the future. Therefore I need to print it out.

Anyone know of any ways that will allow me to print it?

I am running XP Pro with SP2.

Open the ebook and try ctrl P
That should open the print dialog box.

The sort command might work. It would rewrite the ebook from one file to another.

sort c:\ebook c:\ebook2 or whatever the path is.

Disableling print seems unreasonable for ebook author, but is protection from someone pirating the book. Usually the author would let you print at least a page at a time, but I guess not this time.

Like you, I always want to print things for easier reading. About the only thing you can do is a screen capture of the page.

Every Windows PC comes with MS Paint. You can press the PrtScr key on your keyboard, then open Paint and past the image there.

A much better way is to capture the page with a program called SnagIt. Its around thirty dollars and worth every penny. It can even capture a scrolling window, which if the book is pdf and the page is long, that would be a great feature to have.

Hope this helps you.

You just posted to a year old thread which you obviously didn't read.
