How to format in Windows Xp Professional

How can I format in Windows Xp Professional? I only have one hard disk of 55Gb, one primary partition... and i need to do it.. how can I do? thx X3Vil

Ehm... I just don't understand one thing: when I reset my pc and I insert the Xp cd, it just does nothing.. and it's normal... C: before D:...

you have to go into your BIOS settings and change the boot order. It is usually F1 or DEL to get into BIOS. If not watch your startup screen and it should tell you which one to use. So it looks for the cd-rom first then the hard drive.

i had that same problem. i tried every thing except for the one thing that did it all. i was stuck and called up my comp freak bro. he told me to move away from floppys and start usin cds. then i did the restart with xp cd and stuff and it worked. from there installin xp for the 3rd time it was like eatin backin

1st put the XinXP cd in CD_ROM , then restart your computer .Press "DELETE" when the boot screen start , in BIOS - change the 1st boot device to CD-rom ( default is ur HD ) . Then save and exit - it will boot from ur WInXp CD.

Follow the instruction - it will allowed u to format & partition the Drives u want ....
