How do I know if keylogger is installed or not ?

I've a doubt that somebody (one of my friend has installed keylogger on my PC, when I wasn't near my PC), how do I know that my doubt is right or wrong ?
I scanned my pc, it showed no threats, does it mean no keylogger ?

Exactly how did you scan? What utility did you choose to scan your computer?


You can try running HiJackThis and posting the results here WITHOUT fixing anything.

I scanned through avast antivirus home edition and kaspersky 30 day trial version, one after the other :)
they don't show threat if keylogger is installed?
