:( I have got a norton corprate edition... I have installed the server and client. Then clients are running windows 98. Now i cant scan the client system. Here i have a standalone server. Is there anything i should do more or the Nortan works only if the client is added to a domain???

Regards.

Norton what?

Norton is the name of the company, not the product. Norton makes a bunch of products. Norton Ghost? Nortin Firewall? Norton Anti Virus? Which product?

For Windows 98 machines you have to install the client on the workstation itself and during the install select the "managed" choice. Then select your server when prompted. (You may need to uninstall it from the 98 machines if already on there and then reinstall it in managed mode).

I've used the corp edition, and if you did what you say, it should have
produced an automatic scheduling of a full system scan on each
workstation/client. Including an ititial scan right after installation.

Did you try opening the client interface for the antivirus? There are a few
settings in there you can attend to and see what it configured for you.

Open your System Center Console on the server. Unlock your server group and select the server. Your workstations should appear there now if you set them up as managed.

Right click the server, and start making your configuration settings the way you want them for Live Update, scheduled scans, quarantine and what not.

Most of it's going to just be experimenting with the settings until you get it configured the way you want it.
