i am on XP and the Email Admin said he used that tool to find a scam email. I have searched high and low and have the header information and can't figure out how to use it.

Guy says he is in australia and emailed it from a gmail account and it was traced back to CA. I found this out using a different tool.

Is nslookup the way to go or I am looking in the wrong direction? :?:

THanks!

I passed it off to the email admin ... if any insight can be given to solve it without his help, that'd be great, if not thanks for trying.

You should use this Email Tracer. Copy and Paste the email header here:

Tried It .... It didn't work. It put the trace ending up in the middle of the ocean off of Africa .... thanks though.

Tried it with three different emails and they all pointed to off the coast in the ocean near africa ... I know for a fact I did not send an email from myself to myself as I am in the US, heh.
