How to upgrade window xp service p2

Hi
My pc is running on window xp pro service park2. Is it possible and a good idea to upgrade it to service park 3.Because i need to install window installer and it need win xp service park 3.I dont know how to install.

Just do a Windows update? The option for the SP3 upgrade will be there.
