Ok i started to download SP2 and then i read stuff on it and stop myself from downloading it. SP1 is fine for me. But the windows update symbol of the earth is down in the task panel and says Downloading updates: 0% and it stays like that, been like this for a week, and its driving me nuts. How do i get rid of this. Look in msconfig and couldnt find, maybe im just overlooking it. Thanks for the help.

Right click My Computer, select properties and select the automatic updates tab. Disable automatic updates (You can always run it manually through Internet Explorer). If that doesn't automatically get rid of the icon, try rebooting and it should be gone after reboot.
