icon problem thinking due to rundll32.exe

hi
im having this prob with my comp where when i run my computer in 16bit color if gives me the windows me icons and some xp icons with the almost grayscale color

heres a screenshot of it

Yeah, 16Bit does that... try switching it to 24Bit or 32Bit :)

And usually main windows icons are stored in Shell32.dll and not rundll that is used to start services (dll files)

true, ur computer icons are all saved in the file Shell32.dll

ur problem is because u changed ur resolution??

I think in 16Bit, Windows defaults back to 16 colour icons... 24Bit is full colour.. 32Bit is full colour with transparency.

I think he means, when he is playing games in 16bit. And them jumping back to windows.

I was kidding. Forating is the last thing you should do. Have you tryed reinstalling the drivers and updated windows?

actually
the comp im one (the one with the prob) cannot support 24bit or 32bit a 1024x768
it only works at 16bit
which before it looked fine and now it looks like this

im building a new one this thursday to be exact and will probably format and put linux or something i know nothing about and just mess around with it[/url]

im not gonna be using this 300MHz comp anymore
only to lan
im going to a 2.08 ghz athlon wit 512 mb of ram
talk about a difference and a double in ram on this 256 MB comp

ati radeon 9000 64mb
i bought it a while back
i've used it on numerous systems and has worked great for me.

a 64Meg Radeon 9000 should be be EASILY able to handle 1024x768x32Bit...

I've got a 64Meg Radeon 8500 dual head and a 64Meg Radeon 7500 dual head both in the same machine (4 total monitors), and I've got all four monitors running in 1600x1200x32Bit.
