Here is what is up. I have IE6 on my comp which runs XP. At first IE wouldlnt load any pages, so i fixed a few things. Now it opens and works perfectly in safe mode, but when it is run in normal mode it just opens up a blank white page and then hangs without finishing. I already have my start page set to something, so no it isnt that easy. I then treied to install some automatic updates that windows supplies, however it wont let me. so, i ended up finding out which ones they were and then downloaded them all one by one from the microsoft site.. I installed most of them, however, the ones that are for IE tell me that i need to have IE6.0 installed...which i do. So, to sum it all up, i am totally confused. I have tried everything that i can think of. PLEASE HELP ME!!! Thank you in advance.

It sounds like some of your IE6 files and/or registry entries may be corrupt.

You might find this useful:

Before re-installing/repairing IE6, you may want to scan your system for spyware/trojans. I'd also do a virus scan if you haven't already. As far as scanning for spyware. I'd recommend using Adaware.
