Download the font. Extract it. Open my docs. Right click select open new folder name it Fonts. Drag the font (not the zip file) to here. Keep this new 'fonts folder open', Open my docs again. change the "My Documents" to c:/windows/fonts. Then drag the font (just the extracted font to here ,not the zip file or you will get an error message) to there.

Done. :D

all you should need to do is copy and paste the .ttf file into c:\windows\fonts. When you do so, it will show a status bar of installing.
If you don't see that, it didn't install. This is all I ever do.

Sometimes when they don't show the install bar when I copy and paste to the fonts folder I go into the fonts folder and look for the .ttf file in there. If it is in there, I double click it to open it. Then voila, the font is then listed in my font menus for my programs (given I close out the programs and re-open them so they can refresh their font list)

JUST THE FONT NOT THE WHOLE FOLDER! This is your problem. Just the icon that looks like a peice of paper with double "T" or an "O".

Yeah that too, i've done that before when I unzipped a font directly to the font folder. Apparenly it was zipped inside a directory and since winzip doesn't tell you that I unzipped the directory into the font folder.

And since the font folder doesn't read nor does it display folders within it, I was completely lost as to why it wasn't showing up in that folder. Then I unzipped to my desktop and realized why. So I just unzipped to my desktop, opened the directory and copied the .ttf file and pasted it into the font folder myself.

ok well, here's the next suggestion...

do you think it's possible that the font file is corrupted? How about trying
to open it from a different folder other than the windows/fonts folder?

If it doesn't open there, it won't install and is probably a bad file.

Try installing a different font anyway. If a different font will install, then it is still most likely a problem with the font you have now.

You design your own fonts Unflux?

Or are you just gonna offer up downloads of other fonts like the sites we just posted?

I know a few awesome font sites that are fonts made by the guys who run the site, but I won't post them because that's my "secret stash"

just another free font site like those, but i have GREAT domains (i'll tell

one in the first place.

ADVERTISING! ;)

Well that's cool, instead of having all these fonts installed at once, you can just uninstall the once you don't use often, and if you need 'em, grab 'em off your own server!

Well these sites don't have a wide range of fonts on them, and i've given a link once and the person I gave it too totally gafted my design and tried claiming it as theirs, so it kinda ruined it for me.

Otherwise I would share the joy :)

You really do love that smiley don't you
