I believe Microsoft Internet Explorer Beta 1 has been out since early March, 2008.

I was just using it for this last week and in my opinion it is still buggy. The emulate IE7 mode also really doesn't do a great job of really emulating IE7 as things still looked different from the real IE7 at times.

Instead of going through all of the problems with an emulator, I do not understand why they won't just allow multiple installations of Internet Explorer like Firefox. It would be so much easier on the programmers too I would think. If I could I would have an install of Internet Explorer 8, 7, 6, and 5 on my computer so that I can check compatibility issues. Instead I either have to check on another computer or what I tend to do is run Microsoft Virtual PC where I can have multiple Operating systems installed with different versions of IE. Microsoft always has to make things difficult for people.
