I have seen this problem posted here before with some sucessful fixes. I have removed IE 7, all the way to six, reinstalled up to 8, back down to 7, and back to 8 again.

With IE 8, it tries to reload the page and eventually errors out. With IE 7, it just crashed. I ran Hyjack This and it looks reasonabley clean, but perhaps someone else can see something I don't.

Please, No suggestions about not useing IE and switching to Firefox, save it.

Ran Malwarebytes, came up with nothing, updated it to be sure, ran again, still nothing. I removed the noname BHO, still the same. The only web page that displays, is a stripped down Google page. Contains the name "Google, the search box and the Search and "I feel lucky' buttons. No other normal links. Host and LMHosts files are clean. Registry looks clean. This one is odd.

Need some professional help... :D

Hi there everyone, just wondering if someone can help me out. I've got the same problem as the OP, with IE randomly closing down without warning. I Downloaded Hijack-this and ran a scan, but don't know what to do from there on.

Here's the log:

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.3 (BETA)

It wouldn't let me post any links, so i've added an extra 'dot' in order to post. (i.e. microsoft..com)

If someone is able to help it would be awesome. Thanks!

That sure is a lot of stuff running...Spybot S&D...plus SYmantec?

TRy downloading malwarebytes, run that until it comes up clean. If that doesn't work, COmboFix. Both are free.

Thanks for your reply. I downloaded both, as malware bytes wouldn't run i tried combofix, which then allowed me to run malwarebytes. Both programs removed 1 thing, and seems to have fixed the problem.
