how do you log on into windows 2000 server immeaditely after installation :cry:

Selby I have to ask this. Sorry, but why are you even installing Windows 2000 server? It is severely outdated and no longer supported. In case you missed it, Windows server is up to 2008. 2003 server is probably most widely used.

In any case I'm still not sure why you are asking this. Your user name log in would be Administrator and your password would be whatever you chose it to be during install. It's pretty much a no-brainer.

ooh thanks can i upgrade Windows 2000 server to Windows 2003 or 2008 using patches or internet downloads? or does it need to be booted from the installation disc

I don't even think you can buy 2003 server any longer. And for the record support for Windows 2000 server ends officially on July 13, 2010
