hi she devil,
As you said you have been using ICs for long and will continue using it. So you know if you enable ICS the local area network connection to the home is given a new static Ip address configuration and consiquently the tcp/ip connection in the home and the ICs host pc is lost at time of enabling and need to re-establish.

Ok back to your problem. You say you don't want to reduce your bandwidth. In this case if you are using. 192.168.*.* lets assume that your host is 192.168.23.1 then let the second Ip be 192.168.24.1 consiquently let those users who want to ftp make their pc's have the following ip so it will be 192.168.24.2 onwards then disable the DNS on their pc's not the gateway OK. Try this and let us know

Um, I never said that I didn't want to reduce my bandwidth because of the internet connection sharing, I said that I wanted to bypass the cable modem when establishing connections in my apartment. If you would have fully read my post you would see that the problem has already been solved.

Doesn't anyone on here take the time to actually read people's posts before replying to them? I mean I realize that people are just trying to help, but don't you realize that you aren't helping if you are suggesting things when you don't even understand the problem (or if there is one)?

And because everyone is having troubles trying to understand what I'm doing.... I'll even post a diagram of the way we have everything set up in my apartment (Which like I said before is working fine now.)

ShEDeViL

I changed your inline image to a link. It was wider than we allow. Please keep any inline images to less than 480 pixels wide, otherwise it screws up the tables in lower res browsers.
