hey, i was wondering if anyone knew of a program that could possibly fix the "no preview available" error with jpegs.
i recently redid my partitions and opened up some storage space and i accidentally forgot to backup some pictures. so i recovered them with a file recovery utility, but unluckily there is no picture to any of the pictures >.<
i would greatly appreciate any input :]

thanks

I'm no expert, but in my experience, I've never been able to recover images once I got that message. So I'm also interested in this cuz I've got a folder of them that I've saved just in case.

I have the solution for you
i have the same problem and i started to search on the internet
for th solution and i didnt find any,
so i tried to open the photo with the "Paint" Program
it gives me an access denied msg, so its a security reason
but u can rename, delete, the photos so u have permission to access them
but the problem were in the Ownership.

so go to the folder which contains pics and follow these steps :
1- right click >> Properties
2- go to Security tab
3- Click on Advanced
4- go to Owner tab
5- Click on ur username then select the " Replace owner on ...." check box
6- click ok
7- right click >> refresh

Not sure if this could help, I found it in another forum, I think it's worth trying.

I've seen that exact method tried and failed. So I can't say for sure it will work for you. I will say it's worth a shot.
