I just got to college last week. Im hooked up to a T1 connection. At first my computer was able to get on the internet/kazaa/aim, then I reinstalled windows xp home from pro because my computer was messing up. Now I can get on the internet but I can't get on aim/kazaa. Any suggestions? Also im using a hp pavillion ze5300 laptop, and I have a problem where if I leave my computer without hiting the mouse for about 10-15 mins, the screen goes black and I have to restart. I even turned off the screen saver and the same thing.

for your laptop, the settings in the Power Saver section is what you want
to change. You can get to it in the Screen Saver tab in Display
Properties. It's probably set to a typical laptop setting to shut down/hybernate after some time. You can adjust it there.

My guess about Kazaa, is to check and make sure your Personal Firewall
is not turned on. If it is, try that. If that still doesn't work, then your
school (like a lot of others) is probably blocking it.
