Post 3+ Months Ago

I slightly suspect I have a keylogger pgm (spyware?) running in my system as I noticed sometimes my computer has a mind of it's own eg; switch screen or some movements that I didnt initiate. Then again I may be imagining things due to long hours in front of my 'puter.

Is there a way to find out if I have a keylogger (or similar) running in my system?
thanks

Get Hijack This from the link mentioned in the second post of this topic. Run it and create a Log. Post it here.
You can also look here:
http://www.ozzu.com/ftopic34568.html

Bootable if you aren't already it might be a good idea to run a Firewall. You can get a pretty good one for free here: http://www.zonelabs.com

You don't have a keylogger but you do have two Spyware items you need to remove.
One is New.net which you should be able to remove from your Add/Remove Programs. To get there do Start -> Control Panel -> Add Or Remove Programs.
Look for New.net and click and select "Uninstall" You will have to reboot your computer and it should be gone after that.
The other is WebHancer. To remove this follow the instructions towards the bottom of the page here: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trackware.webhancer.html Try the manual removal.

Please post another Hijack This log after doing the above.

I would download, install, update, and run Adaware and Spybot, and scan again from time to time. This will keep adware and spyware junk off of your machine.

Go here http://www.ozzu.com/ftopic34568.html and get the latest version of Hijack This. Follow the instructions in that post.
Open up Hijack This! Click "Scan System and save log" When you click the close button at the end of the scan the log should popup in a notepad.exe window. Save it to anywhere you want and then post it here using Copy & Paste.

And please don't type in all caps. As rickatnight11 says it is considered to be shouting. Unless of course you have a virus makes your capslock key stay on in which case we forgive you.
