Microsoft IIS user accounts...

ok, im running XP Pro on my file server, and im trying to use the built in IIS to run an FTP server... my problem is i want to be able to create multiple user accounts for people to use (one for me, one for my friend, one for my other friend, etc). but i cant find anyplace to add a user, all i can find is the anon-user account thing. anyone know how i can do this?

ok, better question... is anyone here at all familiar with the XP Pro version of IIS?

Shouldn't be too much different than Windows 2000 since it's the same version of IIS

Click Start | Run
Type: compmgmt.msc to bring up the computer management console (the quick way) or go to control panel open Administration Tools and then Computer Management.

Next:


Expand Services and Applications
Expand Internet Information Services
Right Click Default FTP site
Choose the secuirity tab
Add your users there. and give them the permissions you want

*note -- if the users are not part of your local users they may need to be added first in order to allow access. Even simpler Create a goup and add the users to the group and give group access.
