mysql and php help?

Can anyone help me out wiht installing mysql and php on a windows xp pro server? I got them installed wiht the auto installer and now im stuck on mysql i have a program running for it but the port doesnt work for it and how do i create databases and on php what do i need to do to get it working?

I used phptriad and I have XP professional. So I cannot duplicate the exact scenerio. But the most common problem occurs if the Mysql is not running as a service when the windows starts. Another thing is probably mysql's my or my_cnf.bak has to be in the root folder depending on whether you are using winmysqladmin. Usually running the winmysqladmin.exe and playing with it solves any problem with mysql. Most probably this is already in the mysql\bin folder.
