I disabled the display adaptor accidently and now am facing the blank screen. How can I re-enable it?

Thanks for your help!

Reboot. At the start of the bootup process, tap the F8 key. From the menu, select 'Enable VGA mode'.

When you log in, enable your display adapter and then reboot.

If that option doesn't work, try Safe Mode.

I tried and it did not work. The machine is a Dell 8100 notebook with XP pro. I tried switching to another monitor and saw blank screen. I can see Xp logo at the initial booting stage.

You can try a repair install of windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;315341

Follow the instructions for 'Method 2'. Windows setup should redect your display adapter.
