I have the same problems several times, but now I have "fix" this problem.
I found this softwaer: IPetC Basic 2.0 is not free but there is 2 possibilities, to buy, or to use the evaluation version. You can setup with this software various Profile, and when you need one you can apply for one or other.
Hope I could help you.

Or you can use an alternate configuration.

1- Goto network connections in Control Panel
2- Open properties for your Local Area Connection
3- Open properties for TCP/IP
4- Notice the Alternate Configuration tab in the next window. The purpose of this tab is to assist mobile users who are using a DHCP server at the office but require a different configuration when they take their computers home and a DHCP server is unavailable or the oposite. You can configure main properties page with DHCP and use Alternate Config to manually set an IP address, if DHCP is unavailable, as in your homme office, XP can use the static IP in Alternate config. This tab will disappear if you manually configure IP address information on the main Properties page.

Let me know if it help
