well, i might have some light to shed on the netsky infections
i recently contracted a virus that seems to have a trait of provoking windows notifiers that say that there is an infection of some type that needs attention. however, if one were to click "yes" on these notifiers, they will be lead to usless third party spyware products.
one of these notifiers claims that you have a "worm.win32.netsky" virus. this lead to confusion and no solutions like the other links.
so this could be the "netsky virus"
i came to this conlusion after running symantec's netsky removal program and it finding "no netsky virus"
futhermore, the RTVscan was picking up files called "trojan.zlob" and "trojan horse" and "downloader"
upon after following symantec's removal instructions, http://www.symantec.com/security_respon ... 99&tabid=3
i found the trojan.zlob entry, and it said "cleaned" but i could not find the registry entries, and the virus still rages on my computer! what is the deal?
i saw on the other forums that you recommended a scan with h.j.t. so here is my readout:
