networking two pcs but card needs 98se or newer?????

i have an old computer that has windows 98. i need to set up a wireless network with a xp system and this 98 system but wireless router/card does not accept 98 but must be at least 98se or newer.

how can i get around that or do i need to upgrade tp 98se and if so how can i get 98se?

Truthfully you are between a rock and a hardplace. Yes you need to upgrade to 98se or newer. 98se is no longer available, nor is it supported by Microsoft any longer. You could speand about $200 for XP Home edition, but given the apparent age of your computer, you may have to upgrade RAM and your procesor might not meet the minimum requirements for XP.

Or you could speand about $400 and get a fairly decent brand new computer and save yourself the headaches.

What are the stats of the computer? Cpu, memory, etc. If you want to go with SE, it looks like you can get a copy of the upgrade on eBay for between $20 and $50...

dont know much about the pc, but here is what i can get.

its a att&t g630 intel pentium processor 240 mb ram capacity of 1.73gb free space of 335mb

what else would you need????

Just wanted to make a well informed recommendation. Windows 98SE would be your best bet. Here is one place you could get it, but I suggest shopping around:
