new DC (2k8) in an existing DC (2k3)

hello,
am running adprep /rodcprep in the existing DC (2K3) and i get an error report in the command prompt. Am wondering if i should ignore this and continue to promote the sever (dcpromo.exe) or i should attend to the problem first.

server 2k8 says : You will not be able to install a read-only domain controller in this domain because "adperep /rodcprep" was not yer run.

server 2k3 says :

Unless you plan on running a RODC then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

i get the following error when i run adrep /rodcprep "SEE ATTACHED"
am planning on transferring operation masters from 2003 to 2008. am can i continue without the rodcprep ok. what are the effects of running a RODC.

Is your user account a member of the Enterprise Admins Group and also the Schema Admins Group.

RODC stands for Read-Only Domain Controller and you can read about them here:
