New Windows Update

I Have Recently went to run windows update and it ran the new version 5(v5.windowsupdate.com) instead of Version 4(v4.windowsupdate.com) My Question is. Is there any way to get around the product key check cause it comes up as cant validate product key. i was wondering if anyone had a solution
