I bought Norton Ghost 2003 to make backup of my new notebook, I cannot get it to work, when I try to clone the hard drive to a USB or a DVD-R, cannpot get past the DOS screen, I get an error message and returns to Windows with the drive letter missing, what am I doing wrong?
I hav tried it on the desktop, same problem, Symantec does not have free phone support
Thanks

I tried making a backup from a Ghost bootable floppy dissk A: and I cannot see the drive in the options, do I hav to install other drvers for my drive? I got a warning in Ghost USB device unknown, I tried selecting USB 1.1 tried 2.o getting no joy

I think you should ask your LAPTOP manufacturer. We have similar problems with laptops and it is due to the hidden admin partition that the manufacturers use( Dell and IBM) We can get around by installing fresh from a standard windows CD and using a disk clear program first. Then images work on the fresh install.
