Well I found this peculiar issue and wish to get an explanation.
If you create a folder named "Notepad" at your desktop and then open IE and go to View>Source then instead of showing the source of the current page it does something wired. Yes it brings up that notepad folder in explorer. Is there any explanation or is it any bug or something?

That is very strange. Not sure why it does that. Do you need a folder on your desktop named notepad?

No, not after knowing this. I can rename it but very surprising. Is it so with you too?

Surprised me as well. I was thinking you may have had some weird set-up. Another option is to not use IE which I highly recommend. Firefox does not experience this bug.

Hmm... its really a bug of IE. Just navigate to this key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

Now right-click on "Internet Explorer" key and select New>Key. Name it "View Source Editor". On that key create another key named "Editor Name". Now navigate to this key you have made
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\View Source Editor\Editor Name
and set the default value to the editor path i.e., "C:\windows\notepad.exe" or "C:\Program files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe".

Now try that you were doing. No more notepad folder.
