outlook express folders deleted

Hi, im new on here, i hope you can help,

i have deleted a folder by mistake in outlook express 6 (it was a add on attached to my drafts folder)

i have found the location of where the folders go after hours of fiddling on the pc, i also hired a remote pc guy but he hit a brick wall and told me to buy a recover program , i cannot get these folders back and they are important ... can anyone help please or reccomend a safe program which wont cost the earth

Hi, thanks no luck i'm afraid, ive given and and installed a file recovery and cant find them in that either they are dbx files, it cant find any ....- ho hum x

Hi, sorry to ask again but i'm still trying, i have got a program off someone and now i can see the files in the recovery box window but not sure how to re activate them/recover them back into outlook express or anywhere i can read them has anyone used these kind of programs that can advise me please

I don't know what program you are using or how to use it, but if you are saying that you can see the files in a system restore folder, then you could attempt a system restore to a date prior to when you deleted the folder. You'll lose any new work you've done or programs you've installed since then so make sure you have a backup first
