Password Protect Shared Documents in WinXP???

anyone knows how to password protect or somehow secure a shared folder or a network drive?

Yep -- it's called start reading at the source and go from there:

P.S. the above wasn't meant to sound flipant. I learned the same way I suggested above. Five minutes before I left work my plant manager asked me to assign permissions to the project managers to access certain files and directories. Guess what I'm going to do first thing in the morning when I get in? Read my Novell CNA book to make sure I get it right!

i still dont know where to password protect some of my folders so that you have to eneter a password in order to access it.
