I have downloaded it to my computer, although seemingly safe and harmless, I have scanned it with my freshly updated macafee, but I have yet to unzip for fear of malicious content. Any input here would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry but I don't make the habit of opening files people think are dangerous. If you are worried about it why did you download it?

if your worried about it you should of uploaded it to "virustotal" and tested it not put a "infected" file on a public forum

It may or may not be infected. Problem is you have to be a member there to see the file attachment to download it. If you scanned it with McAfee and it came up clean, it probably is.
