Hi,

I was facing a problem in creation of a vpn connection in windows xp. In a user machine i logged in as an administrator & i tried to configure vpn, I've followed these steps.

1.N/w places -> create a new network connection -> connect to my network place.
I am unable to select either option of Dial Up Connection
not VPN. It appears in grey unable to select . I have windows XP Pro. SP2.
How would i resolve this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
venkat.

As an administrator & the actual administrator account are 2 different things. If you didn't use the actual administrator account, then click start, run, type lusrmgr.msc & press enter. Double click on the users folder, right click on administrator, left click on set password & reset the password. Reboot & login as administrator with your new password.

Hi,

I'm sorry i got the solution, in the user machine. I have only two accounts user account & admin account. Today again i logged in as an admin.I enabled the services Telephony,Remote access auto connection manager & Remote access connection manager, When i enabled the services i was able to view the both Dial up connection & vpn. My problem is solved.

Thank you,
