I'll try to find you a solution. Codecs, especially filters and codec packs are a pain in the arse. Make sure you aren't trying to uninstall DirectShow but rather the FFDShow filter pack. DirectShow is essential for Windows Movie Maker, Windows Media player and others.

well i think i am about to loose it!
I have finally got calmed and then a storm hit last night and let mew tell you i have no idea what it wrong...... i did a memory diagnostic and it wouldnt even let me see it, the comp sent it straight to microsoft plus i have DRIVERS installed but they are not reading.... and i can not find my ip4 address.

i have lost administrative authority, cant i go somewere else to change that

today i got a message that i needed administrative permission to complete the task i was doing.. well the thing is, i am the only log on for my computer. To add to all the rest i noticed that my files are blank and being directly filed in the 'temp' folder and obviously being deleted when i use disk clean-up. And to:
