What is the PST file and where is it located in Windows XP? I decided to post a new topic because i have to stay on topic. I was reading something in another thread but i wasn't sure should i post this question there or make a new topic. Well what Bigwebmaster has said he has it reside on his hard drive so it doesn't lose any e-mail. When ever i reinstall Windows XP. I always lose e-mail. I should try that PST if someone could help me out a little bit. Thanks very much for your time

See this post:

The topic deals with the location of PST just like your new post does. There is nothing different about it and in fact in the first opening statement Unflux answers your question to let you know where that location is. A PST file is simply the file Outlook uses to store all the e-mails. This post is now locked.
