Try VNC
http://www.realvnc.com/

You can have it downloaded, installed and be using it in the time it takes for somebody to figure out you can't use remote console with your 98 computers.

If you have to remote to a 98 machine you can use pc any ware it is for working on a computer at a remote location. It will work with internal and external IP address. As far as the XP machines go Windows XP has remote desktop connection.

Right. I suggested VNC because it's open source. Although several in my company use PC Anywhere and it works very well. It's just not free.

I use VNC for all the machines at work including the 98 ones and even one ME one and it works like a champ.

Sorry for the second post. I jsut tried out the VNC and it is great! http://www.realvnc.com/download.html
It is a nice small simple application. So Thumbs down on PC Anyware and Thumbs up on VNC.

I've used VNC for quite some time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a remote desktop program.

Well i actually found another open source VNC clone, its called Tight VNC,
You can check it out at http://SourceForge.net the diffrence is that this tool is optimized for lower bandwidth + many other options then VNC

I think its good (opinion based on my precarious knowledge on Remote Consoles)
i'm already using it.

Hope people might find it useful...
Thx again for the help

Yes, Tight VNC, to my understanding is a tweaked version of VNC. If I'm not mistaken there are several variations. I had just already installed the original one on all of mine and didn't want to have to go redo everything just for a few tweaks I probably wouldn't even use. The original version does everything I need.
