Ok guys here is the problem a couple of days ago I had installed a "Intel application accelerator" is soposse to make your computer faster, but it didnt work for me, instead it was making it even slower thatn before I got the program install, well so I got dissapointed :banghead: at the program and deleted, but in the process It deleted my CD-ROM icon and all with it... now I can do all normal things in the computers , but I cant put any CD on it because it wont run... What do I do? How can I make make this CD-rom appear again?

Kalbal fixed the same problem earlier by reinstalling his OS. Obviously that's not the most desirable solution, but it apparently worked for him. You may want to ask him about it.

The first thing I would do is go to device manager and delete your CDROM drive (assuming you can see it there) -- then reboot and let it detect it and reinstall the drivers again.

P.S. When you say "deleted" the accelerator, did you "uninstall" it from add/remove software, or did you just delete directories/files?
