I have a big problem with the sasser.
I used my removal tool once but it said there was no virus/worm on my system.
But the computer keeps on rebooting. I tried the "shutdown -a" but it didn't work. Ill appreciate any help...

I cannot use any other removal tool because the machine reboot to fast ... and I can't stop it...

I'm using windows 2000 sp2

You might consider doing a repair on windows 2000. follow these instructions:

http://www.riverbank.co.uk/support/R1206.html

If you have to do an inplace upgrade (repair installation) you will need to reinstall any service packs and updates.

Good luck...

If you have another computer, you can set you infected drive up as a slave and delete the sasser files manually. I would make sure you do a backup on the good computer before trying this just in case it spreads.

Also, read through this thread:

There is a lot of information and similar issues discussed in it.
