sorry i didnt understand your query.

I have a partition (E:\) on my Hard disk which I am using to point my ftp server. I will create users from IIS and I want to assign that user with a disk limit. For example the user Mary should have a limit of 500 MB of space for her ftp account.

Is this possible? how?

By setting disk quotas.

Open My Computer
Right click Drive E:
Click the Quota tab
Place a check next to 'Enable quota management'
Set your limits
Click the 'Quota entries' button
Click 'Quota' at the top left and select 'New quota entry'
Add the usernames (they have to be actual local user accounts)

That should do it.

You disk has to be formatted as NTFS for Quotas to work. Yours is FAT32.

You can convert to NTFS if you would like.

So this is an office environment?

Are you running Active Directory or is this just a simple workgroup network?

You will need to create user accounts on your PC. The username and passwords should be the same as the ones they use to login to their PC.

To create users right click My Computer and select Manage
Expand 'Local Users and Groups'
Right click 'Users' and select 'New user'
Enter in the details and click OK.

Now all you need to do is set up permissions for the folders.

Right click the folder and select 'Sharing and Secuirty'
Click 'Share this folder'
Click the permissions tab
Remove everyone and add the username of the person you want to access the folder, give them full permissions.
Click Apply
Then click the Security Tab and add the user account and give them the permissions you deem necessary.

The person will access the folder by clicking on Start then run and typing in \\yourcomputername\their folder

Should work like a champ. If not check firewall settings.
